Roppongi 3K (Sho and Yoh) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) - IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
Jr Heavyweight Tag Teammatch has been opening of wrestle kingdom several times, and the last 4 always featuring The Young Bucks but only this time they came as challanger. Sho Yoh, former young lion that Romero recruit to form Roppongi 3K after disbanding of Roppongi Vice and grab their first title in King of Pro-Wrestling. Match working on Bucks pace, they able to isolate Yoh and even made Romero fall down on ram. Roppongi get their chance with Sho's power but Bucks experience get the best of him. The match getting slow toward the end as they selling back injury for Nick and Yoh. Match end after Meltzer Driver followed by with Sharpshooter on Yoh, the 7th title for Bucks. Decent for opening match but still below for Young Buck's usual standart, as for Roppongi 3K they still not yet give stellar performance.
Winner: The Young Bucks
Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) (c) vs. Chaos (Beretta, Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) vs. Michael Elgin and War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) vs. Suzuki-gun (Taichi, Takashi Iizuka and Zack Sabre Jr.) vs. Taguchi Japan (Juice Robinson, Ryusuke Taguchi and Togi Makabe) - NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship
Start with Suzuki-Gun vs Elgin-War Machine, fast match with Suzuki-Gun specialist, ganging. Elgin and Co. can caouter with their power, but Suzuki-Gun intervention keep distracting them and Iizuka's iron glove complete the chaos. Sabre can give Rowe a guillotine choke to make him unconscious. Next is Chaos, Suzuki-Gun attack before the bell rings and able to isolate Yano with Taichi but Yano can counter Taichi's attack and made a pin. Suzuki-Gun is out. Taguchi Japan came out, good match between two team, Juice again show what his worth and classic match up between Makabe and Ishi. Fast tempo during the match and again Yano could steal the win with great maneuver to counter Taguchi. The champion walk in the ring and jumping to dominate the ring. Ishi and Fale had power contest here and good match up between Trent and Tonga end the match after Dudebuster by Trent. Another decent match but little bit disappoint as War Machine and Sabre can't give their full potential here, for Trent this is his first title after move to Heavyweight. Hope there's a feud between Trent and Tonga after this.
Winner: Chaos (Beretta, Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano)
Cody (with Brandi Rhodes) vs. Kota Ibushi
Match became Single match after Cody lost his title to Dalton Castle. Both wrestler came with high pace, Cody can get the upper hand after a incident with Brodie but not for long time agility of Ibushi even the condition, including perfect execution of Triangle Moonsault. Brodie made another intervention that lead Cody to perform Cross Rhodes to outside of the ring, but Ibushi can avoid the lost before the 20th count. Ibushi selling for the damage was perfect. Cody tried to punish more but Ibushi can counter and there's trading blow between them that end with Ibushi' Last Ride. After another big moves from both wrestler, Ibushi can cope the win with perfect Phoenix Splash. Good match, both shown a several big move and could execute them perfectly, nice chemistry between them. For Ibushi it's like a risen for him after he leaving the company, crowd is with him throughout the match.
Winner: Kota Ibushi
Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer) (c) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and Sanada) - IWGP Tag Team Championship
KES quickly did Killer Bomb on Evil at the beginning and keeps get the momentum afterward with their power. They keep isolate and beat Sanada after slamming Evil with Choke Slam to outside of the ring. The situation little better for LIJ when Evil could tag and can keep up with KES power, but not for long time. LIJ could steal the win after did a quick counter that lead to Magic Killer and Moonsault by Sanada. Not a good match, Evil and Sanada didn't have enough time to show their quality and their winning came in bad way. However, this win can lead to another great feud with Bullet Club or War Machine to lift the Tag Title.
Winner: Los Ingobernables de Japon
Minoru Suzuki (c) vs. Hirooki Goto - NEVER Openweight Championship
Hair vs Hair is Goto initiation to draw attention from Suzuki and it nailed because Suzuki want to humiliate Goto after Goto lost to him 2 times. Intensity from Suzuki's Sleeper at the beginning made Goto unconscious, Suzuki keep beat him while Goto's counter always failed. Suzuki tried a Gotch-Style Piledriver but Goto could counter it to Ushigoroshi, but Suzuki still the upper hand here after Goto distracted by Suzuki-Gun intervention. Suzuki attack with Single Leg Dropkick followed by variation of slap that made Goto bleeding at mouth. Suzuki attempt a Gotch-Style Piledriver but again Ushigoroshi is the answer this time from top of the rope. Goto finally got a GTR, 2 times at front and back of Suzuki, did a pin and win the match. After the match Suzuki-Gun tried to bring their boss to backstage to avoid the humiliate but Suzuki refuse and walk back to the ring. He shaved his own hair like a true man, crowd at his side. Hot match from the start, Goto winning hope give him better title run compare to his previous run as his run didn't as good as Shibata, Ishi or Suzuki.
Winner: Hirooki Goto
Marty Scurll (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi vs. Kushida vs. Will Ospreay - IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
Love the entrance of Takahashi and Scrull. Fast match from the beginning, Ospreay's agility, Kushida's complete package, Takahashi's explosion, Scrull's brutal. Many big move execute here and they can made it perfect, especially Ospreay. I will not gonna spoil the match more because it will be more exciting to see spoiler free, best match so far. Ospreay win after OsCutterto Scrull. The only complaint is the lack of spotlight for Takahashi as I rooting for him even through he get his time at the end.
Winner: Will Ospreay
Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs. Jay White - IWGP Intercontinental Championship
White is back with his new gimmick, switchblade and for start he challenge the Ace, Tanahashi. Tanahashi start with his experience but White flip the advantage after he keep attacking Tanahashi's leg that injured and start to work on him. White start to overwhelmed after Tanahashi also attack his leg with Dragon screw and made it a even situation. Crowd is really on the Tanahashi side although White made a several big move, it keep silent. Tanahashi keep his title after 2 times High Fly Flow. Below standart for Tanahashi and this stage is still too big for White, especially on short time feud building. However, if White was given another chance sometime to make a good feud maybe he will getting better as his technical skill can keep up with a top guy and company need to work the crowd in him as the gimmick didn't work with them.
Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Chris Jericho - IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
Feud was started from twit of fans for who the best, Omega or Jericho, and Jericho challenge Ogera to prove he's the best. Aggressiveness of Jericho start the match but Omega could handle it and there's a trading blow between two of them. The first Walls was happened under five minutes, but Omega could escape the submission. Omega got a momentum but it lost after he did a miscalculation when jumping out the ring, from here Jericho get the control and beat Omega. Jericho interaction with audience is great. Omega got a chance with his Rise of Terminator and start to tear Jericho with V-Trigger after that both wrestler not really got a dominance over their opponent. Another Walls applied, more like Liontamer this time, Omega really struggle to keep his strength, Omega finally got a One Winged Angel but Jericho could break the count with the help of the rope. Both looks exhausted but still came with big move to win the match, Jericho did a Code Breaker but only on two count. Match was end with another One Winged Angel on the steel chair and Jericho couldn't break the count. Overall this was a great match, chemistry is good even in their first match up but for DQ match it's not that brutal compare to US promotion on this kind of match maybe because it held in Japan so they adapt to the Japan style. In Jericho, he's shown that age is just number as he can produce high quality match and this booking again prove that he's not a selfish guy as he bring a new name to offer for the world.
Winner: Kenny Omega
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito - IWGP Heavyweight Championship
Love
Okada's video entrance but his attire little weird. Naito start with his usual mind games and got the upper hand, he directly aim Okada's neck that injured before as preparion of Destino. Mid way is Okada turn to get his hand on Naito and also aim for Naito's neck, Naito almost unconscious with Okada's submission maneuver but could make force a break. First Rainmaker was set but Naito could break the count on two. Naito could perform a Destino, he got a little advantage but Okada shut him with another Rainmaker and when Okada tried to finish him with following Rainmaker Naito counter it into Destino. The Tokyo Dome cheers for Naito. After several big move between them, Okada could seal his victory via Rainmaker. Little disappointed with the result, for me this momentum is Naito's momentum if we looks his journey in 2017 but, it's gonna be interesting to see what will come next for Naito. Okada is booked as dominant champion and will remain keep his title for a long time, as his potential rival like Omega, Naito or Suzuki is unlikely will come to him in the near future.
Winner: Kazuchika Okada
