Coming from Academy Award winner, Alejandro González Iñárritu, a movie about surviving and little vengeance. Nominated for 12 Oscars this should be good movie. They really deserve the Cinematography nomination, many beautiful scene with mountains and forests pictures was perfectly displayed in the big screen. The Indian attacking scene in the beginning was f*cking awesome, with the long take and great camera moving. Everyone talking about DiCaprio in this movie, about his chance for winning his Oscar. He made great commitment here, like eating raw meat or hiding inside "that thing"- it's spoiler. Because his condition, he couldn't speak well but his expression was just good enough to send the message to audience. It's the time he get that gold statue. What lack in this movie is the story, it's not so deep like the technical aspect of the film. Beside the surviving method that Glass did it just plain movie. Yes he have the reason but, I didn't see the hatred feeling that drive him to stay alive, it's like he just survive because he can not he must. One thing that can ruin DiCaprio Oscar dream is I don't see the bounding between the Glass character and his Son, it's just so weak for me. Overall, it was good cinematic experience for me to enjoy until the end. Prepare yourself for 160 min adventure at the snow mountain in early year of America.
