I try to track down all burgers that I have ever eaten. From fast food chain to Burger joint or restaurant with Burger on menu. I will try to eat their signature dish, usually their most expensive menu, and tell what I think about it and will try to post original picture, if I'm not forgotten.

Double beef patty with bacon brisket onion ring and sunny side in between soft bun, I am so full after I eat this, at first I really enjoy it, but after never ending meats it become little monotone maybe because it have very many layers of meat so I just eat meat after meat. But it was a nice experience and must try menu for carnivores. Maybe I will try other menu with less meat.

 

Sabbath Double - Rp80k++

Double patty with cheese and caramelized onion, no need for vegetable. At first the edge of patty is little dry but, after eat more it became moister and taste good. Like this more than The Lemmy, maybe because it was more enough, not overwhelming.

Zuper Krunch - Rp20k++

KFC's best menu beside their fried chicken, it's perfect chicken burger at least for fast food. The patty is crunchy boneless chicken breast complete it with cheese, vegetable and original sauce. The main issue is the chicken size may vary on every outlet.

Not their best menu. It's a burger with chicken as a bun and hashbrown at the middle with lime sauce. The chicken is not crunchy and I don't like the sauce, that's it, but will try at another outlet just try their consistency.

Basically It's Zupper Crunch with different sauce, still good sauce with little spicy of black pepper.

Better than Big Mac, the patty not dry. Acceptable.

Their best burger and it's pleasure to eat, for fast food the meat is so good and don't forget they have option to make it double patty (it's not option, it's obligation), they also have another variant with 4 cheeses to make it messier. Their other menu is also good burger.

Maybe not their signature, but it's also pleasure to eat beef patty, pulled beef complemented with onion rings and their BBQ sauce. Size is big enough to make you full and satisfied, it tastes good too, I love their beef patty and onion ring. They have an interesting set of menu, will try other menu and of course their signature (but they label lot menu as a signature, will try all of it).

Western Beefbec Cheese Burger - Rp60K++

 

One of their bestseller, Burger with beef bacon, Onion ring and BBQ sauce. It's standard for their signature Burger, the patty and size. Overall it's same with Memphis with bacon as the different.

They have option 1 patty or 2 patties, it's one of their signature burgers I pick this because it doesn't have vegetable inside. It's just patty, one or two, with beef bacon, cheese and original sauce. I like the patty not too dry and has decent size, but the bacon, don't like, it's texture made it hard to chew.

 One of their most expensive on the menu and I have to say I am disappointed. The patty not too big and too dry, thumb up just for the bun. Little let down for me because I ate their chicken burger before and that was good.

The best budget burger, for a cheap price you will get a big beef patty, sliced cheese with vegetable and messy mayonnaise also a thick bun. No wonder this place can still exist for a long time.

Despite their simple appearance, it's actually taste very good. Just patty, cheese and buns. My order is Bener 2 that's mean it have two patties, you can order up to 3 patties or using spicy sauce, your choice. They cook the patty decent, not to dry still have moist inside and the size is decent. Their cheap price, lot branch and easy to order online will be their main selling point.

Not their signature, it's Sliders as a signature. For this price I prefer more big size than this, aside from the size, it's actually having a decent taste with especially their sauce. Will try their Sliders another time.

Complemented with salad and sweet potato chips, all vegan burger serves. They replace meat with mushroom and chickpea as the patty and complete it with whole wheat bun. I like the mushroom patty, but not the chickpea cause it's so bland. Their sauce is also not helping, it's not saucy enough. The good point is I am full after I ate this, the portion is good.

Chicken burger with coleslaw, I like the burger sauce and the coleslaw dressing, but I didn't like to eat them together as it overpowers each other. Chicken meat has crispy skin and the meat inside also taste good. All their menus have a reasonable price none of them are overprice, this is good choice if you want a budget burger with good taste and also they have many branches scattered around Jakarta.

Love this. Double patty with double cheese, bacon, caramelize onion all of it warp with soft bun, perfect. Patty so tender and taste good, my personal favorite is their caramelize onion perfectly sweet and give a new different experience. It little pricey, but it's worth every money you spend on it, but none like other fast food chain they didn't have many branches so depend on location it will little difficult to find this pleasure.

It's using sliced beef as the main protein, pairs with melted cheese. It pities I take away this dish to home because I can't fell the melting sensation on the cheese, but it still tastes good. They were seasoning the beef well it looks bland while the truth is not and the serve it by 2 or 3 sliced, so it still good size. Cheese also taste good it completes the dish.

Their menu have burgers until 3 patties between the buns, with cheese or without it, like another budget burger joint, they keep it simple. I like the taste, they have juicy patty cooked nicely without over grill the outside and soft buns to please your teeth. I feel the cheese is just small compare with patty size, but maybe I am just unlucky that day, still taste good otherwise. Coming with over expanding branch (more than 50 in Jabodetabek Area) they need to start use their money to marketing this, they have a bright future.

Tried new place near my rent room, Burger with Bolognesse sauce and sauté mushroom will complete handmade beef patty. Overall It's good, nice patty not to smooth still had muscle on them but taste nice. The  Sauce didn't shout loud just to add more taste, but the mushroom is nice. Hope they can last longer, so I can try the other menu.

Finally, try their Burger because they open a new branch near my home. The brand get a hype for their massive size of burger and good review, when I get the Burger at my hand It's lived the hype, for the size at least. Their patty is thick and taste good, It's consist of Coney beef sauce that also good and cheese sauce as replacement for sliced cheese, they didn't fry the Onion and seasoning well. Love the size, love the taste, will try their other menu

I tried their Damn Basic Double, It's consist of two patties with confit garlic and caramelized onion, no vegetable. For me, the beef is too dry and under seasoning it make the whole burger bit boring. Caramelized onion help a bit, but overall not my favorite. Will try other dish.

I try this because it had discount promo, half price plus FF and Cola. No expectation with this brand, although the brand already big enough. Burger portion itself, not big as the promotional picture (of course, who doesn't) 2 patties between buns, basic, but I can't taste the real cheese due the overwhelming cheese sauce. The patty bit cold, but the bun soft and warm, maybe they use pre-prepare patty to speed up the service, but it still tastes ok, nothing special about it. Buy it if they have another discount. Their FF is good by the way.

Let me copy the menu description of the menu list, 2 Smashed Beef Patty, 2 chess slice, Romaine lettuce, caramelized onion, pickles and soft bun. The size is big, but I can fell all elements and it's all taste good. Just write about it make me drooling, it's that good. I will try their other menu to make sure their consistency. If they have better promotion, they can compare with Byuger for premium Burger joint, I think.

Triple beef with beef brisket and sunny side up added with caramelized onion and sauce. First time tried triple stack beef and I am super fulled. Its size is big and it also tastes good. One drawback is they didn't fill the sauce evenly, it's contain 2 different sauces, but it doesn't mix properly so it's like eating two different meals but it still nice tasting experience. If it's too overwhelming you can pick other menu with less stuff.

Really waiting to try this one, turn it is a disappointment. This is a fusion restaurant with combine burger and sushi. I try their Burgushi Signature (it's the one with discount), Cheesy beef patty with sunny side up and rice Katsu as a replacement for buns. For me, the rice Katsu was bland and their sauce didn't help also and the beef patty also so-so.

Double smashed patty and the thick one too. Cheese, pickles and special sauce. The cheese is blended with the sauce, so good can be used as dipping sauce for FF too. Love the patty, thick, moist and very tasty. Love the experience when eating it. Will be ordering again if I have the chance.

As the opening movie for Jagat Sinema Bumilangit, Gundala will be the benchmark how next movie move. Directed by Joko Anwar (Satan Slave, Modus Anomali), the movie will be served as the origin of Gundala, a hero who get his power from lighting struck. Story began from little Sancaka, Gundala alter ego, play by Abimana Aryasatya (Warkop DKI Reborn, Haji Backpacker) how he struggled with his life after lost his family and how the lighting always chase him since his early years and continued develop to adult day when he can accept the power of lighting. Tone in this film, especially at beginning similar to horror movie with dark color dominated the screen but as film moving forward more colors play begin to appear. Nothing really special about the scoring or music, just completed the scene without overpowering a scene. Camera plays also didn't to unique but still good enough, I like how the camera following the fighting scene. Muzakki Ramdhan as young Sancaka act very well maybe one of the best in the film if not the best, Pengkor play by Bront Palarae (Satan Slave) following later with his good sympathetic villain act more like Vulture at Spider-Man: Homecoming who have strong background for his purpose and Sancaka father take Uncle Ben role, with his quote. Another stand out for me is fighting choreography especially when Sancaka fight thugs but sadly the quality weaken toward the end, and the last fight is so bad added with bad editing, like the scene jumping randomly, make it worse. I don't know why they force introduce many characters in the film mainly at the end of it, which is actually cool, but after disappointing last fight Gundala became forgotten because of it, even there're characters that previously at universe press conference was introduced as a hero in the universe but appear as villain here, interesting how they will bring the story. Will waiting for next movie, and how they will build the next world.

MOVIE REVIEW - BUMI MANUSIA

This is a story of Minke and Annelies who weave love in the early 20th century colonial turbulance. Minke is a native youth, purebred Javanese. While Annelies is a mixed-Dutch girl, the daughter of a nyai (mistress), called Ontosoroh.

No, I didn't read the book so the review is based on the movie. The movie adapted from a novel with same title by Pramoedya Ananta Toer published in 1980 and acclaimed as one of the best Indonesian literature. Story takes around Minke life, his love story. Setting during colonialism in Indonesia by Dutch, and it centered on discrimination between Europe and local people. Hanung Bramantyo (Jomblo, Ayat-ayat Cinta) take the helmet to make the masterpiece came to life and overall he did a decent job. Location set, audio and other technician aspect nothing is stand out, some are complaining about wardrobe when the trailer is out especially for the Dutch, I don't know the detail about it but for me it does not bother me as casual viewer. Best acting coming from Sha Ine Febriyanti as Nyai Ontosoroh, she can look like strong independent woman and became soft motherly when dealing with her daughter or Minke. Main protagonist, Minke, portrait by Iqbal Ramadhan (Dilan 1990) give a so-so performance with numerous flat expression throughout movie still I rise my hat for his Dutch language and Mawar Eva de Jongh (Serendipity) as Annelies the heroine, also didn't make remarkable performance both just make acceptable acting. Something that noticeable is the rough editing of the film, some scene to scene or plot to plot transition didn't smooth and looks like jumping. The Biggest value of the book is how the author tell the story about discrimination but in this movie, it didn't really appear, yes it has some discrimination scene but didn't offer something new that we already know except law about mixed child and the story really focus on Minke-Ann love story at least that what I feel during the movie. Also, I can't see Minke's brilliance moment as educated person, Nyai Ontosoroh even looks more educated than him. Still, I think this movie will be got good reception as the story fit local taste, and Iqbal's fans also will hype the movie plus other Pram's film Perburuan from same production house have less screen at the first day, another 1 million viewer this year.

Surprisingly it really hype, sold out at many cinema in the first day even at place where I see they add more play time outside the scheduled. Maybe because Euis factor, I hear the name mentioned several times before the show, or controversial story before or perfect timing release due school holiday, dunno. It didn't take the brake with the story, the "incident" happen at very beginning and they focus more on story after that. The story develop after parental figure introduced, and how the event effect their families life, interaction between family member also seems natural with details, like “The key is on you isn't?” “No, it's on you.” conversation my parent usually have, like it. The director presented the hard theme with easy way to understand for their target market, the teenage, she put information that they should know from their school-day. Zara (Dara) pickup her good performance from previous film here, Angga (Bima) tried to follow her lead but honestly didn't too memorable but still nice actor we have here. The best is the mothers, Cut Mini and Lulu Tobing, they give their best as parents and will be hard to follow by other, Dwi Sasono never disappoint me good acting as always. Many scenes they take was good especially with their camera position, tone they set also nice despite the gloomy theme but it still bright at same time and I like the detail sound at the background like door open/close, neighbor whispering etc. Some dialogue really really cliche but you can be perfect on everything, right. The Best scene is the UKS scene, no contest. Asri Welas cameo didn't need but still nice addition for tone play. Ending is not the best but still acceptable for all parties. Fresh air in Indonesian cinema, the hype will be wider with mouth-to-mouth recommendation after their first day.
